carson benjamin

My nephew, Carson Benjamin is SO precious. Jess and I had a mini photo session yesterday on his one-week birthday (Jess was an awesome assistant!). I just LOVE newborns. Nothing beats those sweet little bodies!

Thanks to Aunt Heidi for making more amazing little hats.

It was super hard picking out just a few to post....

sweet Matthias cousins

Jazlyn (23 days) and Summer (almost 5 months). These girls will have so much fun growing up together! They are exactly four months apart. Next time I will have to get a pic of Macy and Izzy too. Grandma Barb has more granddaughters than grandsons! What a blessing they are!

cousins - finally!

After waiting for 9 months, Jess and I were FINALLY able to take pictures of our precious babies together! We've gone from surprising each other with being pregnant (due just one week apart!), to texting each other after every doctor appointment to compare weight gains and heart rates, to Jazlyn being born on the 4th of July, and finally waiting for Carson Benjamin to join us on the 22nd!

Today we laid the sweet babies together for their first of many pictures. I think it gave us both glimpses into what twins could be like.....but I'll gladly take my one baby home. I just cannot imagine having multiples!

Carson Benjamin - 4 days old; Jazlyn Jane - 22 days old

Great Grandma Violet with her newest two great-grandchildren. She also made their sweet little hats. Thank you, Grandma!

lazy summer days

I have definitely been enjoying my time at home. It's going SO fast. I can't believe Jazlyn is already almost 3 weeks old. Time has flown by and we have quickly adjusted to life with 5 kiddos.

Here are just a few more photos from the past week. I have now taken over 2300 pictures since Jazlyn's arrival. Geesh....

This was our latest splurge....a pool for the kids. It's been great to have this. Since I'm not in "pool shape" yet and not ready to take Jaz anyway, the kids have been enjoying swimming on our patio. It's the perfect size - I don't have to worry about Myles and yet it's big enough that it entertains them for hours.

This is a typical view of Jazlyn. Hands near her face, binky in mouth, and sleeping. She is an awesome sleeper. We only get up once or twice a night and she loves to sleep most of the day too. If she has a cranky time, it's usually around 11 at night. Might have something to do with the fact that it's the only time she gets our complete attention since the other kids are sleeping?!??!

One of the rare times she is awake... She always looks so concerned with her big, dark blue eyes (that will most likely turn brown).

Macy loves to hold (and kiss) her little sister. I love to take pictures of my girls...

This is one of the few pictures I have of Jazlyn and I. Macy took this picture. Next time I need to tell her to back up further. :)

I think Jaz looks like a doll here. The hat she is wearing was made by her Great Grandma Violet. The flowers are from a pot on my deck. Usually I forget to water my flowers and they are dead by this time of year, but the only reason they are flourishing this year was that I knew they'd make cute backgrounds once baby girl arrived. :)

slightly obsessed....

...with taking pictures of my baby girl! I know time will pass SO quickly (it already has!) so I keep trying to capture as many as I can. I just LOVE this newborn stage, and I love how content she is! I couldn't ask for a better baby #5! Love my Miss Jazlyn!

Just a few more ideas that I need to accomplish this week (including one of all 5 of my lovely kiddos).

Thanks to Aunt Heidi for making this adorable hat for her!!

mama's boys

Jess and I took just a few more pics of her and her boys before baby boy joins the family. She is such a good mom - it is so obviously how happy her boys are and how much love is in that family. Can't wait for baby #3 to join them!!

Jaxon gave me the funniest faces while we were snapping pics. I loved this one...

Loved this one too.... I believe Jaxon said he could feel baby boy's back in this one. :)

And of course, a cousin's shot. Jess and I took a pic a few weeks ago of our bellies, and now, one of Jazlyn and the remaining belly....can't wait for phase 3....two babies!!!

I took some cute belly shots with name blocks too, but don't wait to spoil the name for those that might not know what it is yet. :)

Okay baby boy - your pictures are done, everything is ready.....we are ready to meet you!!!

any day, take 2

one of the best parts about being prego with Jazlyn was sharing the experience with my sis-in-law, Jess. Our due dates were just about a week apart so we went through all major stages together. Cant wait to meet their little guy and get some pics of the two newest cousins!

We snapped a few pics at a family get-together on Sunday. Jess makes one beautiful mama (not to mention one perfect little basketball-belly)!

5 days old

I had WAY too much fun taking pics of Miss Jazlyn today. I don't know how I managed to wait 5 days before I did a "photo shoot" with baby girl. She is such a good baby. Sleeps a TON and is very patient with her feedings. My other kids could barely make it 2 hours without demanding to eat again, and Jazlyn is content to wait 4-5 hours. So strange not having a little piggie!

Here are some of my favorite shots from this morning. I had a hard time narrowing it down to my favorites. These are her sleepy newborn pics. I have LOTS more ideas, so I'm thinking I might have to start doing this daily! :)

This is one of my favorites!

Pretty sure this is how she was in my belly. She LOVES having her hands up by her face. Lo told me I needed to hurry up and take pics of her while she still prefers to be all curled up. Absolutely adorable!

STRETCH!!! She does this often too. Doesn't look too comfortable but look at this long legs!

Gotta love those belly wrinkles

don't want to forget this gorgeous head of hair since it won't last long!

LOVE this one too! So hard to pick one for our "birthday" wall!
