adventureland

Yesterday we headed to Adventureland with Grandma and Grandpa. It was a great day. Unfortunately it was the busiest year since we've started going with the kids (and we went on Labor Day weekend last year) but the kids still had fun. Macy LOVED the rollar coasters. It was fun riding with her because she'd scream the whole time and when it was finished would say "that was awesome!" Fun times!

The raging river! We've never done that one before because the line is always so long but it wasn't so bad early in the day. Kyle is such a good dad to take his kiddos on all these rides!

Thanks to Grandma Barb & Grandpa Bill for tagging along. They were troopers to push the stroller & watch the little ones while the rest of us did the big rides! What a fun day!

Too Cute

Seriously, I don't think they get any cuter than Catelyn. Cat's mom is Kyle's cousin, Kim, and I just HAD to take some pics of this gorgeous little one for her birthday. (By that I mean I contacted Kim on facebook and asked her if I could! I just couldn't resist!)

dance class

Macy had her first dance class tonight! She was so excited to wear her new ballet gear, and she looked absolutely adorable. A bonus was that right behind the studio was some awesome landscaping! They don't allow parents to watch during the class, so I had to take a few pics when she was done. I know people are tired of me saying this, but I think she is SO BEAUTIFUL! :)

Those Homans are crazy! You can tell there are a lot of engineers in this family....it is the most perfect human pyramid I've ever seen! This is some impressive talent!!!

sneak peak into matthias bedrooms.....

looking at these rooms makes me tired. tired of cleaning, tired of never-ending messes. But with my oldest down to only SEVEN MORE YEARS at home, i know that this before long, these rooms will be empty. I'm sure hoping that I'm not the only one out there that has kids rooms that look like this...

looking at these pictures, they also make me smile, because in each of these rooms, I can see glimpses of who my kids are....

birthday boy

On Friday, Kyler turned EIGHT! He was very excited for his birthday! It was sort of a bummer that he had to go to school all day.....I guess that's what happens when you get to be so big! :)

Kyler is our easy-going, laid back, hard-working buddy and we love our Kyler Neil! I had a golf outing for work, so Kyler spent his birthday evening golfing! It was fun just getting "Kyler-time" and I think he enjoyed getting mom & dad all to himself! Of course, I had to take advantage of the beautiful flowers along the course! Kyler is such a good sport that he's always willing to smile for pictures!

Happy 8th birthday, Kyler! We love you SO much!!

Today was gorgeous! And to top it off, I was lucky enough to take a few pics of some really cute little ones! Tara (my best friend from high school) asked me to take some pics of her cutie-pies, Kaden & Hudson, and then Kels asked me to take some of my beautiful niece, Izzy. What a fun day!!

I have lots of other things to post about some of our favorite things this summer at the Matthias household, but they'll have to wait! There are some mamas out there that probably want to see some pics of the babies!

Both Tara & Justin graduated from Wartburg, so the boys had some fun running on the footbal field!

On to Miss Isabella! Izzy was such a good sport! We decided to go down by the bridge/creek in Denver and it was FULL of bugs! We all got plenty of bug bites! But Izzy was a trooper and we still managed to get a few good ones! She is so precious!







This one is my favorite! (except I just notices the mosquito on the side of her face and I'm too tired to edit it out right now...told you there were a lot of bugs :) She is just too sweetie!!
