beautiful dancer....another day

Yesterday Macy was scheduled to perform at her first dance recital! We had a dress rehearsal in the morning and waited around all afternoon to find out if her show would be on with the blizzard going on outside.

Luckily Grandma Barb helped with the makeup. I could handle the rollers in her hair and a ponytail, but Grandma is definitely better at putting on makeup.

Here are a few of the prep work and the final product. Unfortunately we were already headed there when we found out it was POSTPONED, but all that means is that we get to get all dolled up again next time. I'm sure Macy (and grandma) won't mind at all! :)

McMullen family

Yesterday I got to take pics for another gal from work. Stacy asked if I could come take pics of her family with her grandparents. This was the first time they had taken family pics with the little ones. That definitely changes things!

Grandpa was so sweet. He smiled the whole time I was there. :)

Love this pic of the grandkids with gma & gpa. What a good lookin' bunch!

oh Myles

Myles was busy making forts with all of our couch pillows this afternoon and the lighting was just too perfect I couldn't resist snapping a few pics as I sat right in front of him.

However, his precious, perfect little smile quickly developed into something else. This happens frequently these days whenever I get the camera out. Such a silly boy!

quick shots

Today I got to take a few pictures of a friend from work and her adorable little family. Ashdon was a little unsure of me and my camera....or maybe just of the cold. We still managed to get some good shots. It's always easy when the subjects are so good looking! :)

Fun at the farm

Caden will be THREE in a couple days and he LOVES tractors! We hung out at his great aunt and uncles (aka Bill and Barb's) and good thing there were all kinds of tractors there! You may remember Caden's beautiful sister a few months ago. These kids are great!

What's really cool is that these rocks are the foundation of the barn that was torn down earlier this spring. This farm is where his Grandpa Martin grew up!

Caden wasn't too sure about some of this. He definitely kept a close eye on me! What a good looking family!

Caden was in his element on the tractors!

Thankfully we got these pics in before the weather turned gray & wet. There were still some beautiful colors at the farm!

I LOVE this one! Caden loves bugs and he spotted this grasshopper on the driveway. I didn't realize it was still alive until I starting snapping pics!

Happy 3rd birthday, Caden! I hope you have a great day!

beautiful princess is FIVE

Today, Macy turned five. I still can't believe it. Seriously, when did she go from a baby, to a chubby toddler, to such a big girl??? Sometimes, I think she acts A LOT older than she is....sigh....I wish time would slow down.

Macy and I had a great day today. We went out for lunch, shopped, stopped at Scratch bakery, took some pictures, and got her EARS PIERCED! She was so excited and did great! Plus, she looks pretty cute too. I don't know how I ended up with such a girly-girl, but I love it.

Macy, we LOVE you. You are such a beautiful and important part of our family. We can't wait to continue to watch you grow....(we are also quite thankful that you have three brothers and a protective dad to watch over you!!!!!)

Sorry for the many, many pictures.....I LOVE taking her picture!!

Chels & Dan

Yesterday I got to do my first engagement pics! Chels and Dan were great and I was luckily enough to have Kyle help me out too. :) Chelsey is Tara's sister...aunt to those great little guys you've seen on my blog before. Chels asked if I'd take her wedding/engagement pics. To be honest, I'm still a little nervous since taking pics is just a hobby of mine, but I think it'll be fun!

I took quite a few pics (definitely more than the "two" that Dan thought would be enough) and here are a few of my favorites. You can tell that they are very happy together!

handsome hansen's

Jess & I have been trying to make a date to take pics forever and this afternoon finally worked out for us! Are these boys gorgeous or what?!?!? SO proud to call these little guys my nephews! :)

Jaxon and Austin look like they could pose for a magazine!

Jaxon got a little goofy with us....he did NOT want to show his teeth! Silly boy!

These boys have A LOT of energy! Running and climbing constantly! :) Jess is one busy mama!

Since the boys smiled so well, they got to go see the water. It never fails...boys LOVE to throw rocks in water!

Check out the hands in the pockets!

Gotta love sunlight as it's setting....these boys are golden! Love you, Jaxon & Austin!
